She is faithful you
An amazing woman who I work with had a grand-daughter this weekend. The women that we work with have been praying for her daughter who had gone into premature labor just a few days earlier. The doctors were hoping to delay the impending birth but God had another plan.
The sweet baby girl was born this last weekend weighing 1 lb. and 5 oz. at 23 weeks gestation.
The “Mimi” for my purposes, let’s call her “faithful you” has been a wreck worrying not only about the sweet baby but her daughter too. I don’t blame her one tiny bit… I would be too in that situation! Thankfully, I have never walked through a life crisis such as that, but I did know exactly who to connect her too! One of my best friends, Natalie Ballard Hedrick, the Division Director in Little Rock, Arkansas for March of Dimes. Natalie talked to “faithful you” and helped put everyone at ease understanding what was going on just a little better.
Today I went to the hospital with “faithful you” after the family was notified that the sweet baby girl has a brain bleed. I went to support my friend but I left so encouraged! As I was encouraging her with my words-I felt life! Here is the conversation on the way home as we were scarfing down some big macs:
Faithful you: what do you think I should do about a crib for the nursery for when/if the baby comes to stay with me?
Me: what do you mean?
Faithful you: we’ll, we don’t know what’s gonna happen?
Me: ooooohhhh. I would do what you BELIEVE is GOING to happen.
Faithful you: ok, then I’m gonna set that crib up!
Silence for a long time while I think………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Me: You can take this advice for what it is or throw it out the window, but i try to live my live my life, no matter what the situation, with a positive perspective. The more difficult situation, the more challenging it becomes, but it is possible! Whatever you believe or desire, speak it right out loud as if it is already truth! It is Biblical! I tell my kids this all the time- if you say you can’t do it…..YOU CAN’T! But, if you say YOU CAN, guess what????
Proverbs 23:7 Amplified Bible (AMP) For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
But, faithful you, if you believe that sweet girl is going to grow up big and healthy and strong, say it and live it!! I keep saying she looks so big because that is how I choose to see her, BIG, not little, STRONG, not weak! Say it and believe it! God has a plan for her life!
If fact, Isaiah 44:2 says, I am your creator, You were in my care even before you were born.
Rick Warren of the Purpose Driven Life states, “You are not an accident. Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. He was not at all surprised by your birth. In fact, he expected it. Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God. He thought of you first. It is not by fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You are alive because God wanted to create you. The Bible says, “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.”
It had been raining the entire day and I had been trying to be very careful driving and eating at the same time.! As we were driving, finishing our big macs and having a very moving conversation…just then, it stopped raining, a beautiful sky opened up and Overcome by Jeremy Camp came on the radio. We stopped talking and just started praising God with our song. It was magnificent!
There are no accidents.
Mimi is “faithful you” because her faith is so strong and apparent to those around her, but we all need a support system to help and encourage us through life’s difficult times.
How do you see yourself in faithful you?
God Bless!
